Minecraft Movie

Scan Space was brought on to be the primary scanning vendor for the Minecraft Movie in 2024.



This was a monumental job, with a crew of two, we managed to scan everything the vfx team requested.

In the end, our database of scans had 731 entries, with over 500 of them being delivered.

Almost every object was scanned with Cross and Parallel polarized light.
We also scanned all common surface textures to a resolution of 16k. as well as smaller sets captured with polarized light for additional data.

We provided Lidar, Textures, Prop and Set Dec capture.
